Then my doctor went to examine my abdomen. She announced that she was going to examine my uterus and started feeling around my belly button. At this point Michael yelled out "It's lower!". I'm so glad he felt it necessary to explain to this very experienced obstetrician where to find a woman's uterus. I exclaimed "Michael! I think she knows where it is!". The doctor was really nice and explained "Well, I am looking for the top of the uterus." I love when people try to offer advice to medical professionals. Someone needs to invent a sarcasm font.

doctor, doctor
So last week I had an OB appointment. Everything looked great. We got to hear the baby's heartbeat with the doppler and the rate was a wonderful 150. That heartbeat is the most relieving sound in the world. Until the doctor finds it there is always a few seconds of sheer panic for me.
